TVStrictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has been branded a ‘sexist pig’ after a social media post about his wife.
The dancer, 46, appeared as a professional dancer on the BBC One competition between 2006 and 2013.
He married co-star Ola Jordan in 2003, who was on the show between 2006 and 2013, and the couple share a daughter together.
However, James has now been called out for a comment about his wife, as he wrote on X: ‘Hi guys Anyone know a decent ironing lady in the West Malling area – as my wife is s**t at it.’
‘Why don’t you do the ironing then?’ follower Michelle posted, as account @FleuritoFaveees echoed: ‘Um do it ur self?’
Plenty of others urged him to ‘do it yourself’ or ‘learn to do it’, while @jd_kelleher seethed: ‘Iron your own rags you sexist pig!’
Others claimed James’ post was ‘bait’ to ‘wind up’ his X followers, with Trish writing: ‘You’ll be in the doghouse now for that.’
‘People really don’t get your sense of humour, do they???’ Aly wrote.
Christine also said: ‘We know you don’t mean it James as Ola would kill you!’
This isn’t the first time James has caused quite a stir over his comments about women, after ranting last year that there would be ‘no white, heterosexual men on our screens anymore’ if TV executives kept trying to ‘tick boxes’.
He also called for an end to all female presenting duos, such as the pairing of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who front Strictly.
The likes of Ulrika Jonsson were left fuming over his words, accusing him of ‘casual sexism, racism and homophobia’, and also calling him ‘bonkers, insulting and ignorant’.
‘Poor lamb, it must be so terrifying to be a straight, white man in a world surrounded, and ruled, by . . . straight white men,’ she continued in her The Sun column.
‘I’m not sure on behalf of what authority James Jordan claims to speak but it does all appear to be coming out of his backside,’ she added.
Just months earlier, James sparked a wave of public criticism after saying he preferred his wife Ola, 41, when she was ‘smaller’.
Strictly Come Dancing is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Hollywood legend Danny Trejo caused ‘absolute carnage’, in the words of viewers, on Saturday Kitchen when he casually flashed his chest to the camera.
The Machete actor, 79, left those of us watching and host Matt Tebbutt absolutely stunned when he just whipped up his shirt to show off his huge tattoo.
Danny had been addressing Matt’s ‘mid-life crisis’, when he made a wild suggestion to the 50-year-old host.
Ahead of introducing Danny’s tacos, Matt began: ‘Before we crack on with the tacos, more importantly, let’s talk about my mid-life crisis.
‘Do you think, you of all people, do you think I need a piercing?’
‘No,’ Danny quickly replied, leaving Matt admitting he was ‘surprised’.
‘I don’t have earrings,’ Danny went on, before he advised Matt to get ‘a little tattoo’.
‘Something like this,’ he added, showing off his not-quite-so-little chest ink.
‘A tattoo on the chest of Danny, that’s what you should have!’ guest presenter Olly Smith added, leaving Matt red-faced as he swiftly moved on to talking about tacos.
Viewers couldn’t believe what they were seeing, with Charlie writing on X: ‘Hollywood actor Danny Trejo caused absolute carnage on #SaturdayKitchen today.’
‘Things you never expected to see part 532: Danny Trejo on Saturday Kitchen, flashing his tattoo. He’s 80 in May, what!!!!’ Adrian added.
Upali wrote: ‘Danny Trejo can’t help being legendary wherever he goes.’
‘Peak television,’ Monty said, while Chris called Danny’s appearance on the BBC One programme ‘immense’.
Retired boxer Danny has previously spoken about his chest tattoo, explaining: ‘It’s a Mexican lady with a sombrero.’
He also has the names of his ex-wife Debbie, who was his second wife that he married between 1971 and 1975, and of his daughter Danielle inked on his chest.
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in 2014, he revealed that he got the tattoo done in prison, after just having the ‘outline’ done before being transferred to another facility, where had to wait for his tattoo artist to complete it.
‘This guy became a real well-known tattooist in the biker world for the beautiful work that he did, and he hated this one because it was his worst one, and it made him famous!’ he said, talking of his tattoo artist.
Saturday Kitchen airs 10am on BBC One and iPlayer.

Just when you thought Britain’s Got Talent had given us everything, AI came along.
The new series kicks off this weekend with Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Bruno Tonioli, and Alesha Dixon returning as judges, while Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly host following the end of Saturday Night Takeaway’s 20th series.
Thousands of auditionees will showcase their skills and talents to the panel in the hopes of winning the £250,000 cash prize and a spot on the bill at the Royal Variety Show.
One act that’s already had people talking is the singing group RASK AI, who use artificial intelligence to poke fun at the panel by transforming them into film characters.
In a stroke of genius, the tech was used to edit the stars’ faces onto characters from The Greatest Showman, including Hugh Jackman and Zendaya.
The group then belted out the title track from the 2017 movie musical, much to the amusement of the crowd.
All of the judges bar Simon, 64, gave them a standing ovation, with the likes of Alesha and Amanda in fits of laughter after the results of the AI manipulation were revealed.
RASK AI transformed Simon into Hugh’s ringmaster, while Amanda, 53, became Keala Settle’s bearded lady.
The 2024 series of BGT marks its 17th outing on our TV screens.
It’s also Bruno’s second time as a judge after he replaced David Walliams on the panel in 2023, receiving a warm reception.
While long-time viewers might worry that the programme is now running low on talent, it seems that’s far from the case.
In fact, the rules were flipped on their head again this year.
Typically, each judge can dish out one sacred golden buzzer to send an act sailing through to the live shows.
However, longest-serving judge Amanda was so impressed she felt compelled to hit the golden buzzer twice for one performer.
In a sweet moment, Amanda said the auditionee reminded her of her own start in the entertainment industry.
‘It just felt how I was when I was starting out, she’d done some bits and bobs or whatever. I was lucky I went on to work, but she’s just not had that break she deserves,’ she explained.
‘The version of the song she sang was so amazing, and considering how many people have done it, for it to have had such an impact, it really affected me,’ she enthused.
‘I was blown away by her and I really hope this is going to give her a kickstart to a career that she’s destined to have.’
Paying the ultimate compliment, Amanda shared that the unknown artist had ‘Adele vibes’.
‘I said to Simon that she had Adele vibes because she was really down to earth, very funny,’ Amanda recalled.
‘I thought she was going to do stand-up when she came on. So she was a little diamond, a little bit rough around the edges, but super charming, very charismatic, very relatable. I thought, “God, she’s a little star”.’
Amanda wasn’t the only person breaking tradition this series, as the judges previously revealed that nine golden buzzers were be awarded, breaking their usual one-per-person limit.
The competition kicks off with a double bill weekend on Saturday and Sunday when the first set of brave contestants will take to the stage.
Britain’s Got Talent returns tonight at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

TVWWE and Gladiators are closer than people might think, and the two worlds have collided in a major way.
On a star-studded Friday night at The O2 arena in London, with the likes of Anthony Joshua, Wayne and Coleen Rooney and rapper ArrDee in attendance, one of the hit BBC revival’s new stars Apollo made his presence felt.
The new Gladiator came down to the ring during high flying superstar Ricochet’s match with Judgment Day’s JD McDonaugh, and confronted the latter during the bout.
The pair came face to face on the entrance ramp, and Ricochet was able to pick up the win over his rival to the delight of the crowd.
He celebrated his win at The O2 – the site of last year’s record breaking Money In The Bank premium live event – with Apollo by his side, continuing the rich crossover history between wrestling and Gladiators.
Current SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis is actually a former Gladiator, having appeared as Oblivion on Sky1’s reboot in 2008 and 2009, while recent contender Wesley is a professional wrestler on the UK independent scene.
The stars were out, with champion boxer Anthony Joshua pictured backstage with current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, beaming as he even got to hold the prized title belt.
Other big names made their presence felt, including Wayne Rooney, who caught the eye of Drew McIntyre as he sat in the front row with wife Coleen and their sons.
The Scottish Warrior couldn’t resist calling out the retired Manchester United legend, noting he ‘smashed’ it in his football career before taking a cheeky dig.
He teased: ‘Aren’t we the same age? What happened to you?’
Thankfully Wayne laughed along, having had a very different reaction in 2015 when he laid out Preston-born wrestler Wade Barrett at a WWE event in Manchester when their social media row over the recent FA Cup final bubbled over.
The current SmackDown commentator admitted he actually loved getting to work with the footballer at the time, and it’s a moment in his WWE career that he’ll never forget.
It’s such a silly little thing, you don’t go into a career to do things like that. That’s never the aim when you become a wrestler with WWE,’ he exclusively told Metro.co.uk last year.
‘But that’s one of those silly little things that people will always remember. People love talking to me about that time I got slapped by Wayne Rooney!’
The O2 show opened with Jey Uso beating Drew McIntyre, before the likes of Natalya, Ricochet and Tegan Nox picked up big wins.
It was a good night for champions too, with World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes all successfully defending the gold.
WWE returns to the UK on June 15 for Clash At The Castle in Glasgow. Combo tickets including SmackDown the previous night go on sale at 10am on April 24.

TVKevin Sorbo, best known for playing Hercules on TV in the 1990s, took aim at the lack of ‘manly’ men in the current movie and TV industry.
The American actor and producer, 65, also made his name as part of the US science fiction TV series Andromeda, which ran between 2000 and 2005.
Sorbo, who last month claimed he’d been shut out of Hollywood due to his conservative viewpoints, wrote an essay about a ‘masculinity crisis’.
Taking shots at actors and performers Timothée Chalamet and Billy Porter, Sorbo compared them unfavourably to his portrayal of the muscle-bound Greek god.
‘It doesn’t really matter what end of the masculinity spectrum you fall on – if you’re a victim to your own base desires, the feminist culture has won,’ he said.
He continued: ‘You’re exactly the kind of wussy man they (think they) want you to be. Society today seriously misunderstands masculinity.’
‘We love to normalise androgynous, Billy Porter-type men [in skirts]. Chalamet wears clothes that your grandfather wouldn’t have been caught dead in.’
‘Everywhere we look, bold, confident, self-assured females upstage passive men who recede quietly into the background,’ he wrote for Fox News.
Sorbo also focused on ‘fathers, in particular’ on TV and in films, claiming they’d ‘become the butt of every woke Hollywood jab’ in recent years.
He then said that America needs more male warriors and protectors who put their family first, before calling for Hollywood to be ‘made manly again.’
Speaking about his fashion choices, Billy said in 2021: ‘I feel like the fashion industry has accepted me because they have to. I created the conversation [about non-binary fashion].’
Meanwhile, Dune 2 star Timothée’s choice to go backless was hailed by his fans on social media, with some calling him the ‘most special sexy man alive’.
This latest column comes after Sorbo suggested that the 2020 presidential election election in the United States was affected by voter fraud to oust Donald Trump.
He said: ‘I never see people driving around with Biden flags, someone want to explain how this guy who couldn’t fill a high school auditorium is leading currently?’

Gardeners’ World brought a dose of rock ‘n’ roll to BBC2 this week as a bona fide A-lister made an appearance.
Viewers tuning in for Monty Don and the gang on Friday were left stunned as none other than U2 bassist Adam Clayton – part of the iconic band with Bono, The Edge and Larry Mullen Jr – showed Adam Frost around his beautiful garden.
The Irishman has lived just outside Dublin since he was five, and the green-fingered rocker makes the most of his environment.
He bought his home – which is surrounded by 17 acres of land and is close to where he went to boarding school in his teenage years – in the 1980s after U2 stormed the charts with The Joshua Tree.
Although he only had a bit of knowledge about gardening, he knew he ‘felt solace outside’, and he transformed an overrun pot of land in a river valley into his own utopia.
He has planted over 4,000 trees over the last three decades, with the garden brimming with rhododendrons, camellias and magnolia trees.
He said: ‘It takes my mind out of myself. I start to see the colours, see the form and I just go into a different world.’
Gardeners’ World star Adam Frost was taken aback by the ‘magical’ garden, and he hailed the reestablished river as the ‘heartbeat’ of the operation.
Viewers were similarly impressed and full of praise for the With Or Without You rocker’s pocket of colour and life.
‘We were spoilt this evening with Arundel Castle’s tulips, Jim’s wonderfully colourful garden and then Adam Clayton’s magnificent sanctuary. #GardenersWorld,’ tweeted @TheEricaJames.
@Ellebelles1 added: ‘Lovely piece on @gardenersworld1 about Adam Clayton’s garden in Dublin. He has created a true paradise garden 🙌🏼’
‘Caught a glimpse of Gardeners World during halftime and the inimitable Adam Clayton,’ wrote @Dudsey. ‘A stunning garden and the explanation of the release it gives him from the rigours of an incredibly mental and hectic lifestyle prove the power of nature and the great outdoors.’
Some people couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a pun, and we can’t blame them.
Fan @IbelieveinCoyot quipped: ‘Genuinely fascinating feature on Adam Clayton’s garden which is beautiful! Shame they didn’t talk about trees as I wanted to know if he can’t live with or without ewe.’
Even people who don’t particularly enjoy his music were blown away, as @VeganTrailRunr admitted: ‘I don’t like the music of U2 but Adam Clayton’s garden is absolutely stunning.’
Gardeners’ World airs Fridays at 8pm on BBC Two.

Dominating the comedy scene in the 80s were Ade Edmondson and Rik Mayall, the dream double act behind hit shows like Bottom.
The legendary comedic actor Mayall died suddenly in 2014 from a heart attack at just 56, shocking family and fans alike.
Almost a decade after the loss, his comedy partner still misses having that ‘other opinion’ of himself from the Young Ones star.
However, he’s admitted that things weren’t always rosy behind closed doors, as their relationship did become ‘strained’.
A few months ago he had Desert Island Discs listeners sobbing over a story dedicated to Mayall, but his latest admission speaks to the depth of their friendship, albeit a tumultuous one in its latter days.
In a documentary on their beloved show Bottom, which ran from 1991 to 1995 on the BBC, the 67-year-old almost broke into tears discussing his best friend.
The Jonathan Creek actor said: ‘Our relationship was strained towards the end. And when I do things like this, and I remember the absolute joy of sitting in that little office in Richmond opposite the Hole in the Wall pub.
‘It was absolute, you know, the distilled joy – the most joy I’ve ever had in my life, I think.
‘Making each other laugh, Properly laugh. Big belly laugh, laughs, you know. Proper can’t stop laughing, laughing. Very rarely you get a relationship like that with someone.’
He added fondly in Bottom: Exposed: ‘It’s very weird being in a world without [him].
‘It’s weird thinking that he didn’t know anything about Brexit, didn’t know about Covid.’
Edmondson sat in the middle of the famous Bottom sofa, surrounded by the familiar set as he discussed their love for comedy and each other.
Getting emotional, he continued: ‘I mentioned…. the way we used to write each other’s characters and were in love with each other’s characters – I miss that love.
‘Yeah, I miss that other opinion of me. A very loving opinion.’
Discussing the end of Drop Dead Fred star’s life, Edmondson still remembered their ‘belly laughs’ lovingly.
At the time of his death, the duo had not worked together for over 10 years with the late star being left confused by his friend’s reluctance to continue their working relationship.
In 2013, Mayall blamed the Holby City actor for abandoning a Bottom revival the BBC had pitched them as he wanted to wait longer before returning to the characters.
‘He wants to wait until we’re older, but I won’t be able to see or walk by then,’ Mayall had joked to MailOnline, only to die a year later.
In his book, Edmondson pointed at his co-star’s drinking habits and ‘comic god’ complex while touring as the end of the show, as laughs were ‘diminishing’ in 2003.
He wrote: ‘Rik never gets his head around my decision to quit. For the next decade, whenever I ring him up to suggest we have lunch, just to chew the fat, just to be friends rather than colleagues, he always assumes I want to get the act back together again.’
Edmondson had noted in his 2023 memoir that when they were brought back to the world of Richie and Eddie in a 2012 reboot the trust had gone as Mayall was counting jokes.
He reportedly complained that his double act partner had got more punchlines than he did, causing friction between them.
Despite this tension, it’s clear Edmondson still has a lot of respect and ‘love’ for their time together, which fans were touched by.
In response to a clip of the documentary going viral on X, fan PJ Lamplight wrote: ‘You could see it in their performances Love. Friendship can be underrated but it’s possibly the truest love.’
Lucy Elizabeth added: ‘My heart ❤️ I have loved Rik and Ade almost all my life and this documentary was a perfectly beautiful tribute to their partnership. Thank you @AdrianEdmondson for your honesty and emotion.’
‘How very, very touching this is. The abundance of love he had for Rik flows out of him,’ wrote Phil Murphy.
When asked in Bottom Exposed what the icon would have thought about them celebrating sitcoms, Edmondson smiled knowingly.
He replied: ‘Rick would have hated a programme like this and would have told you to f**k off. I mean that quite sincerely.’

TVJeremy Clarkson has paid tribute to late musician Dickey Betts, who has a special place in Top Gear history.
The legendary guitarist, who co-founded the Allman Brothers and wrote their hit Ramblin’ Man, died on Thursday aged 80 after living with cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) for over a year.
As well as his work with the iconic band, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer also penned Jessica, which was used as the Top Gear theme song.
Jeremy – who fronted the show from 1998 to 2015 – wrote on X: ‘Dicky Betts has died. You probably haven’t heard of him. But he wrote a song called Jessica. And you will DEFINITELY have heard that. (sic)’
Bett’s bandmate Butch Trucks previously revealed he actually wrote the song – which is instantly recognised by motorheads all over the world – for his daughter.
‘It’s just a beautiful song. Dickey wrote it for his little girl – she was about a year old, crawling around on the floor,’ he explained on Nights With Alice Cooper.
‘That was the inspiration for that real kind of thing. It has a little lullaby on the ending, that kind of thing.
‘It’s energetic, melodic and very rhythmic. It’s a lot of fun to play. That one can get pretty artistic sometimes.’
The song was first used when Top Gear initially aired in 1977, while it was also used from the launch of the revival in 2002 until the BBC decided to take the programme off air earlier this year.
The decision was made to shelved the iconic show for the ‘foreseeable future’ after co-host Freddie Flintoff was involved in a devastating crash in December 2022.
Bett’s family announced his death ‘with heavy hearts’ earlier this week, after he passed away at his Florida home ‘surrounded’ by his loved ones.
A statement on the musician’s Instagram read: ‘It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Betts family announce the peaceful passing of Forrest Richard ‘Dickey’ Betts (December 12, 1943 – April 18, 2024) at the age of 80 years old.
‘The legendary performer, songwriter, bandleader and family patriarch passed away earlier today at his home in Osprey, FL., surrounded by his family.
‘Dickey was larger than life, and his loss will be felt world-wide.
‘At this difficult time, the family asks for prayers and respect for their privacy in the coming days. More information will be forthcoming at the appropriate time.’

MusicAmerican singer Brian McKnight has been slammed for comments made about his biological children, who he called ‘evil’.
The Still singer, who was on the US Masked Dancer, has publicly disowned his children — Brian Jr., Niko, Briana, and Clyde — in a Q&A on Instagram.
In 2022, the 54-year-old welcomed his youngest child with wife Leilani Malia Mendoza, who also has two children from a previous marriage; Julia and Jack.
Brian posted about Julia’s graduation and called her his ‘only’ daughter, disowning his biological daughter Briana from a previous relationship.
Followers criticised this statement, with the Back At One singer doubling down as he responded to a fan named Carl Jackson who supported his statements.
‘I wanna big up my man right here, he gets it,’ Brian said in an Instagram video before denouncing his biological family.
He continued: ‘In order to live a life that you love, you have to get rid of the evil and the negativity — even if that evil and negativity is related [to you].’
This didn’t land with fans as another user criticised him of ‘going against god’ while others slammed his ‘toxic positivity’.
Brian has built a positivity platform and was raised a Seventh-day Adventist, which is a Christian denomination.
Responding to this comment, he said: ‘God wasn’t talking about children that are the product of sin which these are.’
His comments were filled with people adding to criticism and ex-wife and mother of two of his children Julie McKnight even added her thoughts.
According to The Shade Room, without naming names she said: ‘The point of every negative situation, whether it’s an illness whether it’s a fool that you have to deal with because they keep entering your life when you are no longer giving anymore energy to it, is to only keep you down to where they thought they had you because they were the author of an extremely abusive situation emotionally, mentally.
‘And they’re no good at not being the centre of attention anymore. So when everybody pulls that away, it’s like a kid without candy who throws a tantrum…’
Julie, who is also a singer, was childhood sweethearts with Brian who she was married to from 1990 to 2003 and welcomed two children.
During their marriage he also fathered a daughter and a son with two other women, all of whom he has since disowned.
Two years ago his wife gave birth to their son, who was named Brian Kainoa Makoa Jr, despite the fact his oldest son was already Brian Jr.
Since the backlash, the singer has limited his Instagram comments and more negative responses have vanished from the post.
He saw success in the 90s with first hit song, Love Is featuring Vanessa Williams, which was recorded for the Beverly Hills 90210 soundtrack.
Overall Brian has 16 Grammy nominations and his song Back at One peaked at number two on the Billboard 100 in 1997.

TVWWE superstar Seth Rollins has undergone surgery this week after working through WrestleMania with a major injury.
The former World Heavyweight Champion wrestled twice in two days at the epic double header in Philadelphia earlier this month, and his wife Becky Lynch has revealed he hadn’t fully healed from a knee injury in time for the weekender.
She said: ‘So, he just got surgery on Tuesday. So he had knee surgery, he tore his meniscus a little while before WrestleMania.
‘And so his rehab I suppose is running after a little three year old now. That’ll be great for his knee surgery!’
Irish wrestler Becky, who has three-year-old daughter Roux with her fellow WWE star, explained how the couple balance parenthood with their hectic lives on the road and in the ring.
Appearing on RTE’s Late Late Show, she told host Patrick Kielty: ‘Normally we travel with her. We’re very lucky, we have a tour bus. We wouldn’t be able to do it without her because we’re on the road four days a week in different towns every night, and she comes with us.’
Back in January, Seth fought back tears as he addressed the crowd one week after suffering a Grade 2 MCL tear and partially torn medial meniscus in his left knee.
The injury came against former champion Jinder Mahal – who, in an unrelated move, has been released by WWE this week – when he hit a Moonsault from the top rope.
He hits the same move in most of his matches, but on that occasion, something went wrong, and he was told surgery would rule him out for three to four months and mean he’d miss WrestleMania.
He decided to rehab the injury instead of undergoing surgery, and went onto to team with Cody Rhodes on April 6 against Roman Reigns and The Rock.
The next night, he opened the show as he lost his World Heavyweight Title to Drew McIntyre, who subsequently also lost the gold when Damian Priest cashed in the Money In The Bank briefcase with an assist from CM Punk.
Fans expected Seth to take some time off to rest up after WrestleMania, but it’s come as a surprise to learn he’s had to undergo surgery for the injury.
Back in 2022, he opened up about how parenthood had changed his mentality as a performer, as he started to look at his job through a different lens.
He exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘You wanna work harder to make the kid proud and earn as much of a living as you can to provide for that person. I think she’s been extra inspirational in that way, but at the same time, she’s obviously made me think about things in a safer way.’
He added: ‘You do definitely start to think about taking it easier where you can in the ring so you’re not in as much pain in your off time.’
